Cavanaugh resigns as ECNA president to take new position with the City of Columbia in the City Attorney’s Office.

Tomorrow I am starting a new position with the City of Columbia in the City Attorney’s Office. Due to possible conflicts of interest, I must resign my position as president of the East Campus Neighborhood Association. I am excited about my new job, but sad to be stepping down. Bonnie Bourne, who has been serving as Vice President, has agreed to assume the president position until the next officer elections. Many thanks to Bonnie, as the job is at times challenging.

I have enjoyed serving as your president and will remain a member of ECNA. East Campus is a unique neighborhood and a great place to live. I believe that time, effort and unity of vision can make it an even better place, and look forward to the work we have ahead.

Thanks to all of you for your input and support.
